What was the highlight of First Group Margate Sands
South Coast surprise
Everything was on point. Loved the view. The unit was well appointed = had more than we needed for a short stay. For a long stay, this would be a home away from home. We will return when visiting the South Coast again.
Not really a complaint but something to consider. On arrival in the unit, we were quite late. Most hotels / accommodation provide bottled water which was missing in the unit. However, on checking out, we were gifted two small bottles of water for our journey. Whilst appreciated, suggest maybe rather giving the water on arrival - if guests arrive later than planned, they do not have to run around looking for water.

Brilliant hotel, brilliant room, brilliant facilities and brilliant staff

The lack of water for showering, washing up, washing machine, flushing the toilet. I realise it was not the Hotels fault, that it affected most of the South Coast. But the staff were wonderful and let me know when we could have water which was good.

Good
The location to the beach was good, the pool was warm and we really enjoyed that
The rooms were not clean, the was a lot of noise and people were throwing food into the pool. The generator wasn't working and we weren't informed so we arrived to no electricity and were staying on the 4th floor. The next day the generator was still not working and we were not informed. They did maintenence for cockroaches while we were there so they told us that the cockroaches would come out... the kids playground had few broken parts and the trampoline was out of order.
